The big fest of all colleges took birth this year.....and was named RHAPSODY'09.....DYsconnect yourself..This fest was BIG...BIGGER than all.....it was  6days 6nights long fest with full masti and fun.....All night event was good dance musicals..fashion....There was Bike treasure hun which was awesome....and then the amazing race woh superb tha mindblowing......I liked the informals games.....they were just superb!!!......there was a phjotography event named percption..which was a hit...We had also had a rockband war nite alongwith DJwar....which was awesome too.....The mangement was sloppy but the fest was nice...The fest was organised by DY Patil university in which all the 15 departments came together as a single unit to make this fest happening and it did happen..looking forward to Rhapsody'10....

Is saal ka holi superb tha...bahut majaa aaya....had loads of fun in colouring others and getting coloured by others...Before the colourful day we had a Holika ritual where we burn woods like a bonfire and do "puja" around it....women go around the holika spilling ganga pani and chanting mantras....and we boys just watch and have fun making the bonfire burn more.....we add coconuts to the fire....after the ritual we have sweets of puja and apply colors on other cheek...say chota holi.....also clicked pictures but got lost...sorry abt it.....we then have the roasted cocnut which tastes awesome....and then we gome and sleep..and wait for the next day to come......sometimes dream about it...hehe
Next morning aah gaya.....ad what preparation to get colorful starts...we do puja and prayers then have bath....I apply oil all over myself...say "champi".....and go down outside for the fun....niche pahuchte hi war starts of colorss....we had a superb war this time between two society throwing colorwater filled ballons at each other...i got hit twice but also hit target back....it was kinda paintball fight...CS game real life mein chalu hain.....Later on all the elders come in.....colors ke saath khelte hain....
and then come the best part food and drinks.....we had poatato chips kismiss and jalebi.....awesome taste....and also soft drinks hard were not allowed for us....
Later i the day i went to meet my old pals had fun with them colors ke saath khela....maje liya....
phir ghar par aaya nahaya dhoya colors rehe gaye phirbi....but aacha lag ra ha tha...
i thank god that kuch injury nahin hua this time...and bahut maja aaya....

Species '08.....Atlast it came! And this time far better and improved than before with more games ......more challenges and.....MORE CASH to win!
As all Species opens-up with the traditional Puja-aarti.The opening ceremony done with some speeches by the admins and dean....the funfilled day starts up!
The day starts with traditional dance program i guess ....i dont remember much as it happened in MArch...i will describe as  much i recollect.Then we started with the literary event.....and came the Quiz competition which was half full of my class crowd....the probability of my class winning becomes almost 100%.There were other college people and same college people of different class/course.The match was good ,,the Qs were also real good...there were soem 3-4 elimination rounds and my team was the 1st runner up and got 800bucks as reward.Then the rest of the day went usaul and i missed the dance-competition as i had to help out a good friend of mine and the night went out in that.
The second was good i didnt go for half the event...but i went for the treasure hunt which was awesome....ultimate funfilled man!!it was just great though my team was the last to complete!:( I missed the NGO show presented by my class due to the event....heard it was great too.In the night we had fashion show competition in which my friend niyanta had participated and she looked gorgeous......it was an amazing event.....my college won the event with 2000bucks as prizemoney.Before the evevt RJRishi had come for some fun-timepass games...i got a kajol/ajay devgan signed audio cd as prize....kool huh!
The third and last day was nt that good i just remember attending  the rock show concert performed by vaayu band!!! they were real good complete maniacs and played some awesome originals and covers of hit and classic bands......i even got a drumstick from the drummer...then we got dank some vodka not neat thoigh.....and enjoyed the night in the moment of head banging and all!!!!

The best night out ever with mah frends!!! now when did it occur....yesss.....on sept 8 2007....we all were supposed to goto this Fresher Party to a club....having couple entry compulsory!!!! It was helluva time we all passed together. We all started at 1830hrs to reach the club called Escape(what you wanna escape from?)....in andheri by 2030hrs...We reached andhri by1930hrs had some burgers at Mac....and then went for Escape.....We all gatehered there around by 2030 but three people were quite late swap...yash and another swap....then we though of entering we found that we have wait again fr the line as the crowd has increased as the time went by....we kept waiting and waiting....i even tapped my feet to say am waiting........when atlast got or chance to enter he MAJOR BLOW came....and what the blow was was ....some damn juniors inside said they wer 17yrs a kiddoo(when asked) and came here to dance and drink....the manager got angry kicked them out of the club...damn thise freshers  ont they know you supposed to be 21+ to be eligible to goto club....we were all held out side in the hot evening weather....there was one more blow to one of mah frend avinash...he had worn flotus and went to the club(dumb)....the bouncer saw it and said "NO ENTRY to you fella as you wearing chappals"....so we went to buy him a pair of shoes ...phatka laga 1.5k ka.....though i was not there in the buying process this is what i heard of the price....it was huge and then no entry inside to us in dah club due to age it was all a tensed atmosphere....at last the sunshine broke and a ray of hope came...we were told to goto H2O some other club in bandra.....damn...now we have to travel there....we all made a vote among ourselves on going to H2O or home??....H2O!!! we are coming!!!
when all reached there we decide the couples among ourselves to enter as they wont allow....ie unless we shell out some mullah!!
so we made pairs among ourselves and went in after getting stamped!!!
the in side was one hell of a rocking place....the dj was playing music and people were dancing and boozing..thats what is club meant for..!!!....

when we came in it wasnt that full but as time went by all the rejects of club escape came to H2O.....but what the hell we wre dancing to our hearts content.....going with rythm  of the music... and also boozing...yes we were boozing too but not that rad just sipping up and tasting the beer...though they are not for tasting..
H2O had a surprise for and we were glad hat we came there//....indian idols eliminated contestants chang and parheen had come there to enjoy the night with us....the girls in our group went crazy man!!! i thot i like i am with a bunch of shouting monkeys...though its natural for girls to go crazy on seein a male celebrity.....we all took pictures and snaps with them talked with them....
then by 2 almost all were tired and weary...so we all went out and half went home and the rest including me..went a good nice  restaurant named mughal sarai  near bandra station....we reached there and found that its a hooka hub too
many of us had hookka too...some were first timers tooo and had a tatste of it... i was in them too..i didnt lie it much...

then came the food time...alll wre hungry....i had little food...and tasted the chicken biriyani...which was awesime and good to eat..the place was filled with smoke and it was slowly irirtating many of us so moved out of course after paying the check.....then we went to the station and waited for the first train to arrive..until then we were all passing time either sleeping ortaking snaps  or just movin around....man i am so sleepy.....atlst the train came and ....what??....we ent home to have the sleep with dreams of tonite...the night was awesome....i cud have said more but am so sleepy after boozing that its difficult writing...peole shudnt drink and write..

SPECIES-07....the annual cultural fest of my college...though it got over a week back..i cudnt write as my net was donw...newez down to my writing!!!
The fest an over view.....it lasted for three days and three half-nights.It had some major event and some minor event....it was inter colllegiate(for first-time...i had a role in it).....and it was a Blast(not literally)......

First day stated with inaugaration....i.e. opening ceremony by lighting the 'diya' and garlanding the poojya gurudev(i forgot the name..inconvinience regretted)....adn some speeches by CG and dean....and the fest started with the event of classical dance competition...which was won by some other college i dunno the name......then came debate....which i didnt witnessed it completely...as i was busy with clash of classes ....playing tug-of-war which my team lost terribly(it was really bad).....and after that...witnesed my frends debate(which also they lost)...very bad start for my class i guess......then to cheer ourselves up...we went to the aids stall and played snake-and-ladder and twister....my frends won some freebies....and and in the late evening the major event of dance started....first intercollegiate(8 grpoups danced)...and then some five/six inter-collegeiate.....the winners were my college and two other colleges......
Second day,.....i know only half of it as i came late in afternoon......i witnessed Quiz competition...i wanted to participate but was too late....though in the end my classmates won 2nd prize....after that we all witnesed  some drama on AIDS...which was very nicely done worth an applause......and then the GIG kick-started with some intercollegiate bands playing their stuffs.......my class band won 2nd prize......and then the FASHION SHOW(many come for that only)......it was fun and great.....really some fashion show....but i was bit upset as my college lost it.....it was won by some other college too.
Third day......final day....fun and good day.....started with hindi quiz which my team lost terribly(atleast i got a chance to participate)...won by some senior team....but of my my college.Then started center stage(skits)....no good show by my college..but the tilak college 'system' was done superb.....worth a standing ovation.......and they but natural won too......
After it some career oreinted discussion took place which i won discuss as you all wont like it much....newez the outcome wasnt that bad.In between i was again too late to participate in treasure hunt game......After all this stuffs.....came the ballroom dance show....it was fine...but the presentation done by the fest organising committe was just great......superb....muaaahhhh.....kool....awesome......i am at loss now...
Moving further we then goto closing ceremony....with the DJ WAR night.....it was great as we all danced and fell(only me as i tried a difficult step).....but then ....!@#$%^&* police busted and volume kam kardiya.....!@@#$%^ log......kuch kaam dhanda nahin....newez...phirbhi tried to njoy but lost interest and went home......i dont even know the winner...hope it was of my college....newez i later slept like a log.....and will be now too......
We all enjoyed the fest tto the fullest......

So after some injuries and sweets we celebrated formal day and rose day…..and the good news is I had my camera with me…..yippee…..and took some good snaps tooo….

So as usual 99% of the college had worn formal dress which is mostly suits and kurtas(for some) for boys and sarees for girls…..I must say the girls were looking really gorgeous in sarees….some had even worn designer sarees….hmmmm… and what to say about us boyz we were looking freshers going for an interview….or say we did a dress rehearsal for an interview…..huh-ha!!!

I was searching for a best dressed girl and boy and found none coz everybody were just looking hit!!!

I also found out how pretty my class girls are….coz earlier I thought I got the ugly batch….but found I am wrong!!!!

We took some snaps as groups and couples . And also with roses…coz it was rose day tooo….ya people again love was in the environment for the day….fellas were exchanging roses….taking roses….giving roses…and some were not interested in them at all…just interested in having fun!!!!!Again I had no lecture for the day…and the day ended well and nice….and one more good news was that a new canteen opened up in our college so we went do the bouni for the canteenwala……and had loads of fun!!!!!!

Chocolate day and Injury Day.........Fundooooooo!!!!!!!!!Nice combination........Give the injured chocolates to get well soon....Although to me it looked like all were celebrating birthday together....distributing chocolates to everyone......but then too...it was hell fun!!!!.......I had put up hansaplast on my forehead.......back of hands.....and tied a plaster-bandage to the wrist and colored it with red marker to depict blood.......Fundoo!! again...
Wish i had a camcorder at tht moment.......there were so many whacky injured people around ...i felt like calling helpline to hopitalise evryone......many had put up crepe bandage to depict sprains.......and many had covered themselves up in bandage to look like a mummy....haha!!!!Mummy Returns......Be ready to Die.......!!!!!!!:) Some had covered there face .......some had plastered hand and hanged them tooo...!!!!......the best one I liked was ..a girl who had filled a bottle with red color fluid to depict blood and tied a thread to it and tied the thread to her hand to depict blood supply to her hand....(wish i had a camera)....I gave her a chocolate so tht she gets well soon......

There was a competition too…on which class has the most injured and who has the most koolest injury (hmm…koolest)……..I guess the girl I mentioned above must have won….newez I know tht my class didn’t win trophy of chocolates for the most injured..

In chocolates also there was hierarchy like temptation for love crackle for crush…munch/perk/kitkat for sweetness…..éclairs and toffies for friendship!!!

And many more which I don’t remember…..I got all variations except temptation!!!……

And one more kool thing abt these small day fest was that there were NO LECTURES!!!!!!.....and in the end of the day at college me and my grp hanged out at a nearby café and enjoyed the rest of the day.
